I look at this beautiful one year old in my arms and I am so thankful that we took a leap of faith with surrogacy. As I reflect back on our journey I am so thankful we took the time to find the right match because it made all the difference. I felt like we walked through the pregnancy, as sisters and I will always be thankful for the gift that she gave us. Being an intended parent is a bitter sweet place to be with the hope of what is coming matched with the loss of what couldn’t be but for us the focus was on what a unique opportunity we had. We embraced it and ended up with an amazing beautiful baby and an extra special friendship as well.
