Step 1: Contact us through one of the various communications we have available to you such as phone, email, website or blog.
Step 2: Consultation
We will set up a consultation via Skype, phone or in person, to answer any questions you may have as well as hopefully give you a few things to think about regarding your selection and journey. At this time we will provide you with an information packet filled with valuable insights, resources, and educational information.
Step 3 Sign our agency agreement and make payment arrangements.
We will then be able to show you full surrogate profiles that are currently available.
Step 4. The matching process!!
This step is when things begin to seem very real. During this time you will view our available carriers and we will help walk you through the interview process.
Step 5: Selection and Evaluations.
Once you and your carrier have been matched, legal and medical processes will begin. We ask that both of you sign a commitment form to create an atmosphere of trust and openness. We will also get your legal process started with the lawyer of your choice or one of our verified reproductive lawyers. This will also be the time that both you and your surrogate will have psychological and medical evaluations preformed at our local reproductive clinic or one of your choice. At this time the second installment of your agency fee is also due.
Step 6: Start of medications and transfer!
This is one of the most exciting times of the process. Your surrogate will begin taking medications to prepare her body for pregnancy as well as endure multiple blood and internal ultrasounds. This is when you will begin paying her monthly retainer fee. After a few short weeks her body should be ready for the implantation of your embryo(s)!! Within 3 days of implantation the transfer fee will be due to your surrogate. As always we will be here for both you and you surrogate throughout this entire process.
Step 7: Awaiting heartbeat confirmation and release to OB.
This can be a very intense time for some parents. It is about 5 weeks from implantation until heartbeat ultrasound. During this time there will be a couple of blood tests to check on the pregnancy’s progression. There really is nothing more amazing than seeing your baby’s heartbeat for the very first time. After confirming a healthy and viable pregnancy, the clinic will release your surrogate into the care of an OB that she has chosen and you have approved. Also at this time your surrogate will begin receiving monthly compensation as stated in your contract.
Step 8: The pregnancy progresses.
At this stage your surrogate will go about life as any other expectant mother. Carrying your precious cargo with the utmost care. Your monthly installments will begin at this time and continue until your baby arrives. There will be regularly scheduled Doctor appointments and routine ultrasounds as well as any recommended testing. You will want to talk with your surrogate about birth plans and hospital arrangements. We are more than happy to provide guidance in this area as well.
Step 9: Your baby is coming!
As the time draws near for your baby’s delivery you may want to be close to your surrogate so as not to miss this momentous event. We are here to help make travel arrangements, facilitate hotel stays or temporary housing, even entertainment options if necessary. When the big day arrives we will do everything in our power to make sure that everything goes off as smoothly as possible. The moment you hold your baby in your arms for the first time will never be forgotten.
Step 10: Legal finalization and final payments.
As you are preparing to take your bundle of joy home, there will be a few “housekeeping” items to finalize. The hospital and lawyers will need signatures from all involved parties releasing the baby into your custody. You will also need to secure insurance for your baby before leaving the hospital. If you are from outside the United States, your lawyer will help to get passports and all necessary paperwork filed so you can all be on your way home.
